A heroine of the Old Testament. The name means "woman from Judea".
She was a widow in the town of Bethulia in de 6th century B.C. The town was besieged by the
Assyrien army under command of general Holofernes.
By deceiving him, she was invited to be his guest. She waited until he was drunk and killed him.
Therefore the army of the enemy fled, and so she liberated her people.
