Italian Self-portrait

The colours green, white and red signify the Italian flag.

Now I understand why many painters through history did paint their own self-portrait

so often. It teaches you a lot.
 

For instance Rembrandt, he painted nearly a hundred.

The first when he was a youngster of 22 years of age,

and the last one before his passing in the year 1669.
